RECORD PROMOTION GUIDE
RADIO MIX SHOWS
This section of the Record Promotion Guide CD needs no introduction or explanation. Simply put, radio station mix shows have become as important as getting your add at stations for regular day-part rotation airplay. If your release is realizing overall success at the club, record pool, Billboard Reporter and college radio level it is very probable radio mix show disc jockeys are well aware of your release and chances are they will give it a trial spin and see if it grabs their audience. If your record becomes very successful at the mix show level, it becomes more possible the station music director and/or program director will look at your release seriously for day-part rotation and hopefully go along with your suggested "going for adds" radio date.
In this section of the Record Promotion Guide CD we forego any hype or descriptions and get right to the who and where these radio station mix show jocks are and each list is broken down by specific genre, the "dance mix shows" and "urban mix shows".
