Have you registered this song for copyright to the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. with the proper FORM SR ?
Did you sample any one else's music (even 1 line)? If so, did you contact anyone to get clearance for it's legal use? Do you know where to get sampling clearance?
Did you have your final product professionally mastered? Do you what mastering is or where some of the best mastering labs are located?
Have you applied for your own unique company Bar Code? Do you know where to apply, what form to use and how to fill out the long form properly?
Have you created your own publishing company or have put your composition with an accredited publishing company who is in current good standing with either BMI or ASCAP?
Do you have all the information on where to send copies of your new release to BDS, MediaBase and Soundscan for both airplay and retail sales monitoring and tracking?
Have you set up a marketing strategy?
