RECORD PROMOTION GUIDE
ABOUT PROMOTION
Ask any major label A&R representative and they will tell you, the best way to develop your music career is to release your own record. What they won't tell you is how to do it and make your release a success by getting your record played on major college and commercial radio stations, reviewed in key music publications, and stocked in national chain and independent record stores.
Just think about this, remember when you mailed your last promo package to a major label, or actually got to see a major label rep in person? You're probably still waiting for that call-back. Maybe you're just not that important enough or didn't make enough of an impact on that person who is ever on guard to save his or her job. Now, if you had released your own record, knew how the game is played and also knew the "who, where, when, how to and had all the available listings to get your release into the right hands and started to realize a good BUZZ on your record (watch this) when that major label rep knocks on your door, "WHO" do you think is in the drivers seat now? They came to you, they want you, "YOU" are now in the drivers seat, and with a good entertainment attorney your marriage to that major label will open all the doors that were closed to you before.
Do you believe in your music? Are you confident about what you have? Remember this - "NO ONE" will work your record harder than you!
